[0:44]

Hi everybody, welcome!

[0:49]

Miss Kelly here.

[0:51]

Let's practice our school yoga together.

[0:55]

Sit in easy pose.

[0:56]

I see lots of people ready.

[0:58]

Thank you.

[0:59]

Sitting down on the ground, crossed ankles, sitting

[1:02]

up tall, nice and tall, hands together.

[1:08]

I have a story.

[1:11]

Thank you for always listening so nicely to

[1:14]

my stories.

[1:16]

I love to go to the beach, everybody.

[1:19]

I really love to see the ocean.

[1:23]

So one day I drove to the ocean.

[1:28]

I parked my car.

[1:30]

I walked over to the fence.

[1:33]

I looked out.

[1:35]

Oh, so beautiful.

[1:41]

I saw shimmering lights from the sunshine on

[1:46]

the water.

[1:47]

It looked like diamonds to me, so beautiful.

[1:51]

I noticed that I felt very peaceful.

[1:57]

I noticed I had my calm heart and

[2:00]

I wanted to have calm hearts with others.

[2:03]

Yeah.

[2:05]

Well, it was time to get back into

[2:07]

the car.

[2:08]

I was walking across the grass and I

[2:13]

saw lots of people and some had pets

[2:16]

and then I saw the cutest dog.

[2:21]

Oh my goodness, so cute.

[2:23]

And she had on a little vest, a

[2:25]

little plaid vest.

[2:28]

I said, I want to see if I

[2:31]

can say hi to this dog.

[2:34]

I walked over carefully and I said, hi,

[2:37]

I'm Ms. Kelly.

[2:38]

And the lady said, hi, I'm Ms. Rodriguez.

[2:41]

I said, it's nice to meet you.

[2:43]

You have such a nice, cute dog.

[2:46]

What is her name?

[2:49]

And Ms. Rodriguez said, her name is Coco

[2:54]

Chanel.

[2:56]

That's a funny name, Coco Chanel.

[2:59]

I said, oh, she's so cute.

[3:02]

Could I pet her on the head?

[3:04]

And she said, of course.

[3:06]

So I carefully reached over and I gave

[3:10]

Coco Chanel a pet on the head.

[3:14]

And I said, well, I have to go.

[3:17]

It's nice to meet you, Ms. Rodriguez.

[3:19]

It's nice to meet you, Coco Chanel.

[3:23]

Ms. Rodriguez said, nice to meet you too.

[3:27]

It looked like Coco Chanel was smiling.

[3:31]

I got into my car.

[3:33]

Everybody, I noticed I feel so great.

[3:37]

Why do I feel so great?

[3:41]

I know why.

[3:45]

I feel great because I had a chance

[3:49]

to be kind.

[3:53]

I was kind to Ms. Rodriguez.

[3:55]

I was kind to Coco Chanel.

[3:57]

And everybody, when we are kind, we also

[4:01]

feel good.

[4:02]

The people we're being kind to feel great,

[4:04]

and we feel great too.

[4:06]

So please sit up nice and tall.

[4:08]

Hands into calm hearts.

[4:10]

Please say kind.

[4:14]

Calm breathing and calm hearts help us to

[4:18]

be kind, everybody.

[4:19]

Kind to others.

[4:22]

Everybody feels good when we are being kind,

[4:25]

and we really like to be kind in

[4:27]

our classroom.

[4:28]

It helps us to learn, of course.

[4:30]

Let's practice our calm breathing, calm hearts.

[4:35]

And we will sing our hearts are calm

[4:38]

today.

[4:39]

Hands into calm hearts, please.

[4:42]

Calm breath in and calm breath out.

[4:46]

And calm breath in and calm breath out.

[4:51]

We sing calm breath in.

[4:55]

Our hearts are calm today.

[4:59]

Our hearts are calm today.

[5:03]

Our hearts are calm today.

[5:08]

Calm breath in and calm breath out.

[5:12]

Good, everybody.

[5:13]

Easy pose, sitting tall, hands on two knees.

[5:17]

Let's take our left hand.

[5:19]

Let's make a circle like a little dog's

[5:22]

cute face.

[5:24]

Calm breath in and calm breath out.

[5:28]

I really think Coco Chanel was smiling at

[5:31]

me.

[5:32]

Calm breath in and calm breath out like

[5:37]

a little puppy or a dog's face.

[5:39]

Calm breath in and calm breath out to

[5:43]

the center.

[5:44]

Good, calm hearts.

[5:46]

Calm breath in, calm breath out.

[5:49]

Easy pose, sitting tall, hands on two knees,

[5:52]

right hand.

[5:54]

Okay, let's make a circle like a beach

[5:57]

ball with all the colors and the rainbow

[6:00]

in the beach ball.

[6:03]

Calm breath in, top of the beach ball.

[6:06]

Calm breath out.

[6:08]

I see who's moving carefully.

[6:10]

Nice and focused.

[6:12]

Calm breath in and calm breath out.

[6:16]

Good, to the center.

[6:18]

Calm hearts.

[6:19]

Calm breath in and calm breath out.

[6:23]

Easy pose, sitting tall, hands on two knees.

[6:28]

Little circle with our hands like a puppy's

[6:34]

eyes.

[6:36]

Let's go carefully.

[6:39]

Calm breath in and calm breath out.

[6:45]

Please go opposite way.

[6:48]

Calm brains are always choosing to be kind.

[6:55]

Yes, wonderful.

[6:57]

To the center.

[6:58]

Calm hearts.

[7:00]

Calm breath in and calm breath out.

[7:04]

Easy pose, sitting tall, hands on two knees.

[7:07]

Shoulder circles.

[7:09]

How about like a bowl of water for

[7:12]

the dogs?

[7:15]

Round circle like a bowl of water.

[7:19]

Healthy water to the front.

[7:22]

Shoulder circles.

[7:23]

Calm breath in and calm breath out.

[7:28]

All right, good.

[7:29]

To the center.

[7:31]

Please take our kind, calm hearts over here.

[7:34]

Calm breath in and calm breath out.

[7:40]

Very nice.

[7:42]

Easy pose, sitting tall, hands on two knees

[7:44]

and our mixing bowl today.

[7:47]

Let's imagine that we're taking our whole school

[7:54]

to lunch.

[7:56]

Let's take the whole school to lunch and

[7:59]

we have only healthy food at lunch.

[8:02]

In the mixing bowl, raise hand if you

[8:04]

can think of something.

[8:09]

Good.

[8:10]

Miss Kelly is going to put in yogurt.

[8:15]

Opposite way.

[8:16]

I see who's moving carefully.

[8:18]

Please think of a healthy drink for our

[8:22]

lunch with everyone at school.

[8:29]

Very nice.

[8:30]

We could also have some apple juice and

[8:34]

of course, yes, water.

[8:36]

Healthiest drink, water.

[8:38]

Calm hearts, everybody.

[8:40]

Calm breath in and calm breath out.

[8:44]

Hands are down.

[8:46]

We're going to do something called rock pose.

[8:49]

We're going to be rocks.

[8:51]

Rocks are so wonderful.

[8:54]

And let's be rocks on the beach.

[8:57]

Color of our rocks you choose.

[9:00]

Someone raise hand.

[9:02]

Teacher will call on you.

[9:03]

Color of our rocks.

[9:09]

Good.

[9:10]

Now, there are going to be two small

[9:12]

animals resting on the rock.

[9:15]

We are going to be so still in

[9:19]

our rock pose and be kind and let

[9:23]

the animals rest.

[9:25]

Let's have a little baby squirrel and a

[9:30]

little chipmunk.

[9:33]

All right.

[9:33]

Here we go, rocks.

[9:34]

Ready?

[9:36]

Step one.

[9:39]

We're going to sit back onto our feet.

[9:43]

See, Miss Kelly is not up on knees.

[9:45]

I'm sitting back on feet.

[9:49]

Calm breath in and calm breath out.

[9:53]

Please listen.

[9:55]

Step two, make our calm hearts.

[9:58]

Calm breath in and calm breath out.

[10:04]

All right.

[10:05]

Step three.

[10:07]

Listen carefully.

[10:09]

Calm hearts go all the way over to

[10:12]

the ground and our calm brain is going

[10:15]

to rest on our calm heart.

[10:25]

Nobody's looking up.

[10:28]

Everybody's in rock pose.

[10:31]

Remember, we are being very still and kind

[10:35]

to the baby squirrel and the chipmunk resting

[10:39]

on a rock.

[10:42]

Calm breath in and calm breath out.

[10:48]

Calm brain is on to our calm hearts,

[10:51]

everybody.

[10:53]

Calm breath in and calm breath out.

[11:02]

Calm breath in, calm breath out.

[11:16]

Please lift up carefully.

[11:20]

Come back to easy pose.

[11:28]

We were kind.

[11:30]

We were still in our rock pose.

[11:33]

Let's also be kind today in our class

[11:37]

and practicing our school meditation helps us to

[11:42]

do that.

[11:44]

Calm brains choose kindness.

[11:48]

Calm hearts share kindness.

[11:54]

Opens our learning.

[11:57]

Hands in calm hearts.

[11:58]

Eyes stay open.

[12:00]

Calm breath in and calm breath out.

[12:05]

Calm breath in and calm breath out.

[12:11]

Calm breath in, calm breathing, calm hearts.

[12:18]

Again, calm breath in and calm breath out.

[12:25]

Calm breath in.

[13:00]

Good, everybody.

[13:01]

Calm breath in.

[13:03]

Calm breath out.

[13:05]

Excellent.

[13:05]

Hands are down.

[13:07]

I'm remembering Miss Keller's story.

[13:11]

Where do I really love to go?

[13:14]

To the beach.

[13:18]

And how did I feel when I was

[13:21]

looking at the ocean?

[13:23]

I felt very peaceful.

[13:26]

Well, of course, I had practiced my calm

[13:27]

breathing, calm hearts that day.

[13:30]

And then when I walked back over to

[13:33]

the grass, I saw the cutest dog.

[13:37]

Anybody remember her funny little name?

[13:43]

Coco Chanel.

[13:45]

So cute.

[13:48]

And when I was in my car, I

[13:50]

was thinking, gosh, I really feel great.

[13:53]

Why?

[13:56]

Why did I feel so great, everybody?

[14:01]

Because I was kind.

[14:04]

Yeah.

[14:05]

I was showing kindness to Miss Rodriguez and

[14:08]

to Coco Chanel.

[14:10]

Please sit tall.

[14:11]

Hands in calm hearts.

[14:13]

Everybody, please lift our calm hearts if we're

[14:16]

going to be kind today.

[14:20]

Yes.

[14:21]

Please lift our calm hearts if we're going

[14:23]

to be kind at home today.

[14:27]

Please lift our calm hearts if we're going

[14:29]

to be kind wherever we go in our

[14:32]

stores, in our neighborhood.

[14:36]

Yes.

[14:37]

Calm breathing, calm hearts helps us to be

[14:39]

kind and to have great learning.

[14:43]

Let's end our class.

[14:44]

Calm breath in.

[14:46]

Calm breath out.

[14:48]

Calm breath in.

[14:50]

Smiling, calm hearts.

[14:54]

Thank you, everybody.

[14:57]

We practice our calm breathing, calm hearts every

[15:00]

day.

[15:01]

[0:44]

Hi everybody, welcome.

[0:50]

Miss Kelly here.

[0:52]

We are going to practise our school yoga

[0:55]

together.

[0:56]

And we are sitting in easy pose, nice

[0:58]

and ready, sitting down on the ground, crossed

[1:02]

ankles, sitting up tall, hands together.

[1:06]

You know our calm heart feels better when

[1:09]

we're sitting tall.

[1:13]

We learned that calm breathing, calm hearts make

[1:19]

it so much easier for us to be

[1:22]

kind.

[1:23]

And we really like to be kind.

[1:25]

Right everybody?

[1:27]

Yes.

[1:28]

So when we have our calm breathing and

[1:31]

calm hearts, we look around, we're focused and

[1:35]

we can see, oh, there are so many

[1:39]

wonderful people to be kind to.

[1:42]

Our teachers, our classmates, our family,

[1:52]

our neighbours, even the post office

[2:01]

people that deliver our mail, our pets, you

[2:11]

know, we could even be kind to plants.

[2:14]

We like to be kind, everybody.

[2:18]

And when we're kind, our thinking is so

[2:21]

great.

[2:22]

We have great thinking, peaceful thinking, and then

[2:28]

we're learning.

[2:29]

We're learning all the time.

[2:31]

So let's practise our calm breathing, calm hearts.

[2:34]

Let's be kind today.

[2:36]

We'll sing our hearts are calm today.

[2:40]

Hands into calm hearts.

[2:43]

Thank you for sitting tall.

[2:44]

Calm breath in, and calm breath out, and

[2:50]

calm breath in, and calm breath out, calm

[2:56]

breath in.

[2:57]

Our hearts are calm today.

[3:02]

Our hearts are calm today.

[3:06]

Our hearts are calm today.

[3:10]

Calm breath in, and calm breath out.

[3:14]

Good, everybody.

[3:16]

And sitting tall, hands are down.

[3:19]

Let's move our arms, our hands, and let's

[3:22]

say something nice together.

[3:25]

We're going to do and say this.

[3:29]

Calm hearts look for ways

[3:39]

to be kind.

[3:42]

Here we go.

[3:43]

Calm hearts look for ways to

[3:53]

be kind.

[3:55]

Again.

[3:56]

Calm hearts look for ways to be

[4:05]

kind.

[4:07]

Practising our calm breathing, calm hearts.

[4:10]

Extra kind today.

[4:11]

Calm breath in, and calm breath out.

[4:16]

Calm breath in, and calm breath out.

[4:21]

Easy to be kind with calm breathing, calm

[4:24]

hearts.

[4:25]

Calm breath in, and calm breath out.

[4:29]

Good, everybody.

[4:31]

Calm breath in, calm breath out.

[4:35]

We think best when kind.

[4:39]

Calm breath in, calm breath out.

[4:43]

We feel best when kind.

[4:47]

Calm breath in, calm breath out.

[4:51]

We learn best when we're being kind.

[4:55]

Calm breath in, calm breath out.

[4:59]

Excellent.

[5:00]

Hands are down.

[5:02]

Okay, so let's remember that when we have

[5:08]

our calm breathing, our calm hearts, peaceful with

[5:13]

myself, peaceful with others, we want to look

[5:18]

around.

[5:19]

We want to see who can I be

[5:23]

kind to today, and then we are kind

[5:27]

to them.

[5:28]

And especially at school, I mean, so many

[5:32]

wonderful people help us to have great days

[5:34]

of learning at school.

[5:35]

The custodians, the lunch staff, the principal, the

[5:42]

nurse, everyone.

[5:46]

And our teachers, yeah.

[5:49]

Let's be kind.

[5:52]

Sit tall, everybody.

[5:53]

Let's end our class.

[5:54]

Calm breath in, calm breath out.

[5:59]

Calm breath in.

[6:01]

Smiling, calm hearts.

[6:05]

Thank you, everybody.

[6:08]

We practise our calm breathing, calm hearts every

[6:11]

day.

[6:12]

Smiling Calm Hearts Open Our Learning.
