Educators are welcome to learn our comprehensive curriculum that nurtures

 social and emotional well-being by either

taking the full online training course or practicing digital lessons in the

SCHOOL Yoga Library along with students.

We provide an innovative mindfulness curriculum that strengthens positive behaviors, we-centered thinking, and resiliency for improved learning.
 SCHOOL Yoga & Mindfulness expertly adapts the traditional basis of yoga and meditation specifically for the public school setting.

WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE?

  • You are an elementary or secondary school teacher who would like to bring social and emotional learning skills to your students

  • You are interested in incorporating yoga mindfulness methods specifically adapted for the classroom

  • You would like more effective classroom management tools that improve focus, listening, and harmony

  • You would like to establish a personal practice to enhance your well-being

  • You are a beginner or have any level of practice - all are welcome with no yoga experience required

The Online SCHOOL Yoga & Mindfulness Training consists of 45 hours of online learning. Teachers learn the methods and then scaffold instructions to students. Teachers may lead students through the SCHOOL Yoga & Mindfulness Program or share short videos of SCHOOL Founder Kelly Wood teaching the methods. Teachers are required to teach the SCHOOL Yoga & Mindfulness activities in their classroom (whether virtual or in-person) and write reflections on the group discussion boards. The online course is available for teachers, counselors, social workers, or youth education professionals in all districts.

SCHOOL Yoga & Mindfulness Program – Build the Basics
Date: April 2023 date announced soon
Time: 10:00am -11:00am Pacific Time ONLINE
Requirements: Please submit the application below and select PD for the course type.  We will send the Zoom link to you.

Educators TK-12 in all districts are welcome to join and gain an introduction to the SCHOOL Yoga & Mindfulness program.

Summer dates to be announced soon.
The in-person course typically meets on four days:
2 Saturdays and 2 Sundays
8:30am-12:30pm & 8:30am-11:30am (last Sunday)

We encourage you to take the online course which covers the same material.
