WHY ARE CALM HEARTS NEEDED NOW MORE THAN EVER?
The COVID-19 pandemic produced significant challenges for teachers, students, and our education system as a whole. Returning to in-person learning after more than a year of online instruction highlighted the crucial need for social and emotional learning. Simple tools to enhance adaptability, resilience, and caring attitudes are vital to creating classroom atmospheres where youths and educators thrive.
SCHOOL Yoga & Mindfulness methods foster pro-self and pro-social attitudes in youths and their teachers to enhance the motivation to learn together. With specific tools for emotional regulation based on Calm Breathing Calm Hearts, the SCHOOL Yoga & Mindfulness program enhances social and emotional skills to promote learning in academics and life.
HOW CAN SCHOOL, INC. HELP?
SCHOOL Kids Yoga & Mindfulness Program provides time-tested, teachable tools to lower anxiety, nervousness and despondence so that youth can adapt successfully to today’s new ways of learning. SCHOOL Kids Yoga is a trauma-informed approach that has proved to be effective at countering trauma experienced by youth and can therefore be applied to meet this historic moment.
SCHOOL Kids Yoga & Mindfulness intentionally fosters caring connections between students, their teachers and peers to counteract feelings of isolation and anxiety. With specific tools for emotional regulation, SCHOOL methods build resilience, confidence and prosocial habits in our youth. By consistently practicing these skills together, teachers and students co-create healthy communities that support learning and connection during this time of need.
